Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Early on, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she learned to dance. As a teenager she started acting, and struggled for years as the majority of her films at first were unsuccessful. She finally found success, and then went on to be one of the most well-known actresses within the Indian film industry. In the aftermath of her wedding ceremony, she took a short absence from acting before returning. In recent times, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. Also, she has earned a name for social activism.
