MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his first long-player. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia was his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. In the following season, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. He also was in a duet with TINI for her viral stream single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother also play music. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. In his childhood he was instructed to play the piano, guitar as well as the ukulele. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he changed the direction of his career.
