MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player in the Latin mainstream. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. Vaina Loca, which was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021 he produced the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his elder brother and mom are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. When he was young, he instructed to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with the help of a Cuban singer, he changed goals for his future career.
